Winter Clothing Drive

The Youth Group would like to help the Micah diners by passing out Winter Clothing Kits at the December meal. They would like to make the winter clothing kits which include a hat, hand warmers, and a pair of gloves and socks. If you can help by donating any of these items, please place them in the donation box in the Narthex. Email Stacy at coordinator@splctoday.org or send a text to 262-770-2479 if you have questions.

Micah Meal

Thank you for your donations to Micah last month for the Respite House and the newly formed Workforce Development Program and to everyone who volunteered at the October meal! Our next Micah Meal will be on Wednesday, November 20th from 3:30 – 6:30 pm and will feature Italian & Spanish dishes instead of traditional Thanksgiving fare. Please sign up on the Worship Board in the Narthex or email Pam at lpfp1@verizon.net if you would like to volunteer.

Young at Heart

Please join us for our next event on Tuesday, November 19th from 12-2pm. Come enjoy KFC chicken and fixings, corn casserole and desserts. The theme for November is “Names, Numbers, and Nonsense.” Randy Griffith will also display a collection of Civil War relics. Sign up on the worship board in the Narthex if you plan to attend.

Acolyte Training

Thank you to the parents and children for attending last weekend’s acolyte training event! Volunteers for are still needed for Sunday and, especially, for the Saturday night service.  If you are interested in joining the ministry and taking an active role in the worship service, it’s not too late to join. We will have another get together in January or February. Anyone from 1st grade to 92 may serve. Please contact Darcy Neesen at ddneesen@hotmail.com or Rose Pantazis at pantazislaw@verizon.net.

Micah Bridge Program

Last Thursday Pastor Paul Toelke, Pamela Fragoso, and David Hiles presented Meghan Cotter with a check for $1500 from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, from funds collected from individuals. The money will go to Micah Ecumenical Ministries for their new program that helps their clients transition from homelessness to being a productive member of society.
