
Greg Alan Moses, 53, of Stafford passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at VCU Medical Center after battling brain cancer for the past nine months. Greg loved collecting antiques and sports memorabilia, and playing bass guitar in the praise band at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church where he was a member for more than 20 years. He recently started attending Lifepoint Church where he found comfort and truth in the messages delivered and ultimately surrendered his life to Christ. Through his diagnosis and treatment his faith in Jesus never wavered. Greg was self-employed as a ceramic tile installer and through his work he had the opportunity to create deep friendships with other members of the Stafford County community. Greg is survived by his wife, of almost 23 years, Sherry; step-children Justin Kauffman (Tammy), Ian Thomas (Stacey), and Brittany Layne (Michael); siblings Mike Moses (Charlotte), Cathy Phillips (Randy), Paula Neavin (Dan), and Joe Moses (Jean); and his 11 grandchildren, Oktober, Gage, Ashton, Nicholas, Isabelle, Kaelyn, Savannah, James, Ellie, Porter and Harvey. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Moses and his mother, Donna Moses. The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 3 and also from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 4 at Covenant Funeral Service, 1310 Courthouse Road, Stafford Va. 22554 A funeral service, open to friends and family, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 5 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 1201 Courthouse Road, Stafford, Va. 22554. Entombment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. There will be a reception at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church immediately following the ceremony at the cemetery.
