We are going to make props, sets, and costumes for the Christmas Musical and the Christmas Float on Sunday, December 8th after Sunday School. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers, Please click here to email Stacy if you are able to help out.
The Youth Group would like to help the Micah diners by passing out Winter Clothing Kits at the December meal. They would like to make the winter clothing kits which include a hat, hand warmers, and a pair of gloves and socks. If you can help by donating any of these items, please place them in the donation box in the Narthex. Email Stacy at email@example.com or send a text to 262-770-2479 if you have questions.
Join us for our Thankful Thursday potluck meal on November 21st at 6:30 pm. Our theme is “Anything but Turkey.'” Please bring a dish to share.
Thank you for your donations to Micah last month for the Respite House and the newly formed Workforce Development Program and to everyone who volunteered at the October meal! Our next Micah Meal will be on Wednesday, November 20th from 3:30 – 6:30 pm and will feature Italian & Spanish dishes instead of traditional Thanksgiving fare. Please join us for our next event on Tuesday, November 19th from 12-2pm. Come enjoy KFC chicken and fixings, corn casserole and desserts. The theme for November is “Names, Numbers, and Nonsense.” Randy Griffith will also display a collection of Civil War relics. Sign up on the worship board in the Narthex if you plan to attend.
Please consider donating a turkey (either a whole bird or a turkey breast portion) to the Food Pantry for our Thanksgiving giveaway. We expect over fifty families will need our help this year. Thank you!
Last Thursday Pastor Paul Toelke, Pamela Fragoso, and David Hiles presented Meghan Cotter with a check for $1500 from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, from funds collected from individuals. The money will go to Micah Ecumenical Ministries for their new program that helps their clients transition from homelessness to being a productive member of society.
We will acknowledge our veterans during worship this weekend. We invite you to wear your uniform, so we can properly thank you for your service. We especially thank Pat Dowden for his gracious gift of artwork for our worship bulletins.
